Kiwi Shoe Polish
Moving from grunge and punk subcultures into high street fashion military boots are no longer famous for their rugged, distressed look. We have all suddenly become sergeants within the fashion world and we want mirror-shine boots. So how do we achieve that military spit-shine look? Top fashion retailer All Saints, who were the first to introduce the military epidemic to high street fashion advise us to use a Kiwi shoe polish, a light amount applied to the boots monthly.
If your boots get muddy wait for the dirt or dust to settle and dry hard before attempting to wash your boots, this prevents smearing on the leather. Once the dirt is hard brush off the boot, from heel to toe with the hard-bristled brush, and then gently apply warm water to the boots with a leather cloth. Once the boots are completely dry apply a small amount of polish and rub into the boots until a faint shine starts to show, repeat this process 5 times.
Let me know if this method works for you, and remember depending on the colour of your military boots, be sure to buy the correct colour polish! For Kiwi care products click here.

JLS in Military Boots
Ladies this blog post is NOT for the faint hearted! The military boots trend does not only apply to women. All Saints have some of the hottest looking male models posing in men’s military boots. And depending on how they are styled, these can be fashion heaven or fashion hell. All Saints and River Island seem to have it perfected a complete style and there mannequins look great!
Fitness model Josh Holland (pictured left) has the look down to a t, he has paired his military boots with a pair of loose-fit Diesel jeans – I say 10/10 for this look. The BIGGEST boy band out right now, JLS (pictured above) are also sporting the military boots trend and I think they all just look FAB! They can also be styled with skinny jeans, like this All Saints male model, and they fit in with casual tailoring and trench coats really well.
But where can we buy men’s military boots from? – All Saints and River Island are two of the obvious high street stockists in men’s military boots, but shop on the virtual world of fashion and you can find men’s military boots at a bargain!

Asos.com has a pair of brown lace up military boots for £55.00!! You can also shop on eBay for a complete range of boots for under £100. Mens military boots don’t have to break your bank account. Get the military look for your man today! Let me know what you think about the military trend on men.

Military boots are the new ideal fashion item, which will take you through any condition and weather. The one problem that we all seem to have with our boots is the pain they can cause in the first few weeks of wearing. I’m not saying I have found a complete cure…. but in my experience follow my next few steps and a guarantee it will ease the pain and stop your feet from burning!
First off upon purchasing your boots make sure you get a good fit, when you are shopping for a pair wear the right pair of socks, don’t but a pair that are too big because the leather does stretch. Coincidentally this does not mean you can buy a pair that is a bit on the tight side.
Once you get your shoes home, be sure to wear them immediately. However do not go outside in them, keep them on for a couple of hours, wear them on different surface levels such as carpet, hardwood flooring, floor tiles, and even laminate. After a couple of hours if you are not sure about the fit you can then take the shoes back to the shop and change size.
After your happy with the fit of your boots, flex the leather on them, try to bend the leather as much as possible, loosen the laces and style your boots to suit you. In most cases the heel is finished in double leather and this is the area that will give you most of your problems.
Good Luck, let me know if this method works for you, it also works great on Doc Martens!

I am constantly seeing women in some of the most stylish military boots, and when I approach them and ask where they bought them from, (expecting them to say All Saints or a top named designer such as Alexander McQueen) I am pleasantly surprised and shocked when they say eBay or Amazon!

Classic Black Lace Up Boots
That’s right ladies, it would seem the best place to shop for this year’s must-have look is online, military boots have taken over the virtual world. On my shopping travels I came across some ‘best buys’ in military madness.
Check out my top 3:
These classic style womens lace up military boots are the original design in fashion militaries. They are complete with lace up design and an inside zip for easy wearing. These fashion military boots are only £29.99! A complete bargain from ‘ShoeFashionista’ at www.amazon.co.uk (click on the right hand image for a direct link to the page).

Grey Studded Military Boots
My 2nd favourite item was an easy choice with an added bonus, when I typed ‘ladies fashion military boots’ into ebay or amazon or even google shopping most of my results were sold by My1stWish, a huge reliable online seller who has shops both on ebay and amazon. The studded military boots featured left are off their website (www.my1stwish.co.uk) The reason I decided to put their boots in my top 3 off the website is because on selected items they have free shipping costs, which is an added bonus to these super cheap boots.

Ankle Military Boots
My third bargain buy are these super cute ladies mini ankle military boots with back buckle detailing are ideal for the summer, they are featured on eBay for a bargain price of £26.95 (Buy It Now). The buyer ‘BeMyShoe’ are an eBay top rated seller, so you can trust this buyer with a feeback score of 369!! I have seen these paired with denim hotpants and a baggy t-shirt for a complete look.
