Being the typical female that I am; as much as I don’t like to admit it, I always feel 100 times more confident when I spot celebrity fashion icons sporting the same look as me! Always keeping one eye on the celebrity circuit I noticed a generation of dirty black, combat-style military boots stand up.
Thanks to edgy RnB singer Rihanna who was first spotted sporting the All Saints boots in California a week after the opening of L.A All Saints store, the epidemic had started…. Here Rihanna has styled her £165 millies tucked into leggings with a long sleeved black top.
Rachel Bilson In Military Boots
This is one trend that works best when opposition is applied to the mix, take Rachel Bilson for example: here she is sporting her militaries with a red ditsy floral print dress.
On their own they are items that I wouldn’t dream of putting together but as a spring ensemble they look genius! Of course you can choose to wear them the best way that suits you, but in my opinion the hottest look is to pair the boots with a floaty, feminine dress. In other words something floral, something pink, something angel-like!
It is the complete opposite to how Rihanna has styled hers, its stepping out of the box, its making the ultimate statement, its showing off the boots in the best way possible.
Amber Rose On The Military Trend
Fashion – Goddess by anyone’s standards Amber Rose has also been spotted dressed in the military trend. I absolutely love what she has done with her outfit; she has taken a bit from both of the above looks and created a masterpiece! Although she isn’t wearing a floaty feminine dress she has gone for loud bold printed leggings that cause the boots to stand out and become the focal point of the outfit.
I also love that she hasn’t gone for the expensive All Saints military boots to create her look, but instead chosen her black patent Doc Martens. And you can too!
